It’s official we have lots of amazing camp offerings this summer. So if you are looking to support your child’s development over the summer contact us today. The list below details all of the camps Regina Speech Centre will be providing for the months of July and August. All groups will be at Regina Speech Centre in our clinic location. All are a small group format to provide your child with intensive support. All camps are available for reimbursement through extended health care plans through your speech therapy benefits.
Sing Talk Read and Learn
This is a literacy and language group for children in Grades 1-3. It will be offered with a certified music therapist and focus on using music and rhythm along with books to build early literacy, vocabulary and language skills. Help your child with their school skills over the summer.
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 3 until Aug. 2nd. 8:30 unitl 9:15 a.m.
This is a group for 6 and 7 year old children that focuses on oral story telling skills to expand language. Narrative skills are a precursor to good writing in school age children, so if your child needs support learning to tell stories and building vocabulary and sentences this group is for you. Story telling also helps support their ability to tell their peers and families what has happened throughout the day.
When: Tuesdays July 3 until August 7. 1-1:45pm
Give your child a boost in their skills before school entry! Sessions will focus on language readiness for school including: vocabulary, concepts, following directions, sound awareness, and exploring fine motor activities.
When: July 9 – 13. 4-5pm
Speech at Home
This is a tailored home program to meet your child’s individual needs. You will be provided with a one to one coaching session, home activities, weekly emails with suggestions for targeting goals, and set dates for monitoring and check in. If you don’t want to attend a camp, but want to get some intensive work done at home, then this is the program for you.
This is a group pairing language skills with yoga. It will build language skills and concepts during a yoga practice session. It will target skills such as: basic concepts, following directions, and answering questions, self regulation, and calming techniques and movement through the yoga practice. Come enjoy a unique and fun way to grow your child’s language.
When: Fridays. July 30 until Aug. 3 4 until 5 pm.
Cost: $300 per participant
This is a camp geared towards toddlers and their parents to learn strategies and skills to take home to target talking and understanding skills at home. You will leave with materials to use in the home and a home program outlining activities with goals to carry over in your home.

Cost: $300 per family
Lego Social Builders
This camp will focus on building peer relationships through negotiation, collaboration, and creativity. It will teach skills to help navigate social situations all while having fun with lego.
Who: Children ages 9-10
When: Aug 27-31. 3:00-4:30pm
Cost: $400 per participant
Children ages 7-9 years of age
When: July 16-20. 3:00-4:30 pm
This camp will focus on building early literacy skills needed in school. It will focus on phonological skill development including: rhyme, syllable detection, sound identification and more. Help build your child’s literacy success.
Who: Kindergarten and Grade One students
When: July 16-20. 1-2 pm
Last but not least, our always popular speech sounds camp is back. This group will be offered for two different age groups and offer your loved one a quick boost for their articulation over the summer.
